We are excited to officially introduce you to our new Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Jennifer Knighton! Jennifer began with Aeries earlier this year – just in time to join us for AeriesCon Spring 2023 – and has hit the ground running since.
In this newly-formed position, Jennifer leads the Sales & Marketing Division powering Aeries’ growth initiatives in the emerging Texas K-12 market and expanding Aeries’ leading position in California. She is focused on spreading Aeries brand awareness and developing relationships at schools of all sizes throughout Texas. Additionally, she is responsible for our strategic partnership program, bringing fantastic products that offer Aeries customers fully integrated experiences that accelerate student success.
“Since Aeries Software began, we have put an emphasis on establishing strong relationships with school districts. That begins with the high standards in the way we conduct ourselves in fairly representing the product and company in our sales and marketing efforts to potential customers”, says Aeries President, Brent Lloyd. ”I am excited to bring in a strong leader in Jennifer to embody those values in helping to bring our quality solutions and services to our current and future customers. With her career in education technology, I am confident in Jennifer’s capabilities to support our customers at a high level that truly values them.”
Jennifer brings an impressive, demonstrated history of leadership and sales knowledge with 25 years of sales and marketing experience and 20 years of experience in education technology. Most recently, Jennifer held the role of Director of Sales at Swing Education, an EdTech company that connects substitute teachers with districts in a quick and seamless way. At Swing, Jennifer was responsible for rebuilding and leading the sales team, developing sales processes and methodologies, and establishing Swing as a strong market presence in Texas. In addition, she has held a variety of roles in the EdTech industry, including Eduphoria, Turnitin, and Apple, just to name a few.
“As a native Texan,” says Jennifer, “Aeries’ expansion into our great state initially drew me to the company, and its core value of customer-centricity aligns with my own commitment to education and student success. Over the past four months, I’ve loved getting to know my colleagues, our customers, and our partners. We’re setting the foundation for the future of Aeries, and I couldn’t be more honored to embark on this journey together.”
Outside of the office, Jennifer enjoys cooking, reading, and getting on the tennis court as much as possible. We are excited to have her onboard with us. If you see Jennifer at a conference or on your site, be sure to say hi!
