Do you love talking about student empowerment at the dinner table? Do you find yourself passionately discussing grading policy while in line at the local coffee shop? Is student success engrained in everything you do? Well, we have got just the thing for you: introducing the Student Success Advisory Board (SSAB)!
The newly-formed SSAB aims to provide guidance and expertise to help create a student success ecosystem in schools that empowers every student to reach their full potential.
The Student Success Advisory Board is dedicated to
- identifying high impact areas that drive student success,
- identifying research-based processes that have been shown to positively impact student success,
- providing ideas and guidance necessary to incorporate drivers of student success into default functionality of Aeries solutions,
- developing measures that provide insights on how to best support individual student needs, track progress and identify areas of improvement.
Student Success Advisory Board Members, or advisors, will meet regularly via Zoom to provide insight, give context, and provide feedback. They will engage with the Aeries Product Team to review features and recommend solutions. They may engage with Aeries demo systems to review features for usability and provide feedback on how to best support individual student needs, track progress, and identify areas of improvement. These vital pieces of feedback will help guide product requirements in the future.
So, what makes someone a great candidate? First and foremost: passion and dedication to transforming schools for the better. The SSAB will be open to a variety of different role types, including COE representatives, CA and TX state agencies, district executives, counselors, educators, parent organization members, and students. This wide array will allow us to truly dive into all facets of student success.
